In order to maximize the efficiency of the foundry and reduce costs, it is very important to monitor closely the life, condition and use of ladles, tundishes, cooling beds, boxes, baffles, slabs and all other equipment whose life and condition affect productivity and quality. MILL+ provides the SVR Framework for handling and controlling all the equipment. For each piece of equipment, it tracks stocks, condition, location, date/time of entry and reconditioning, number of maximum nominal heats and the actual number of heats performed. This allows the operator immediate visibility, effective scheduling of reconditioning interventions and accurate planning of purchases in replacement of end-of-life equipment.
