Mission - technological partner
|
|
|
If MES
technology - and ICT in general – is designed and implemented as a
support for organisational and cultural change in the way of doing
business, it can become a powerful business-generating engine as it
reveals hidden costs that would be difficult to identify without
real-time integrated information, and a tool for continuously improving
processes and our way of working. |
|
|
|
A
fundamental prerequisite, however, is that the management and
organisation must be convinced that possessing shared, integrated field
and business information that is accurate and functional to the
company’s organisational model provides a real competitive edge and is a
strategic objective to pursue with the necessary human, technological
and engineering resources to allow ICT to become an invaluable asset. |
| |
 |
STAIN is so convinced of this that its mission is to
“give the information that tells us what
we have produced and how, the same speed and the same precision
as our products in order to identify and eliminate hidden costs,
and increase efficiency and margins.” |
|
| |
|
We want
to achieve this target with you and this can only be done if certain
fundamental requirements are met. |
| |
-
Investment in MES technology must be evaluated with the same
parameters considered when buying a lathe, namely performance,
quality, manufacturer’s guarantee of operational continuity,
technological content and price. Assessing an ICT investment in
terms of price only – a common practice, it has to be said – could
mean not achieving the advantages in terms of enhanced efficiency
that justify the investment.
|
-
Investment in MES technology also affects the organisation of
production and logistics and must not be the result of trial and
error or improvisation. It requires a competent and reliable
technological partner that has shown it has specific know-how in the
industry, can provide its organisational and technological
experience, and has a well-tested method for installing these
systems in specific production environments.
|
|
|
-
The
method we have developed in 20 years’ experience in the field
guarantees the success of the project, which depends on the
technology itself, of course, but also on how well it suits the
company and is perceived as a real advantage by operators in the
field and the various levels of management.
|
 |
For us, convincing a customer means - as the dictionary says -
“demonstrating incontrovertibly”, that ours is a winning
solution. Only if we are of the same mind can we establish a
long-lasting relationship that gives added value to the
investment in ICT and guarantees continuity in time thanks to a
partner that is always present and can invest in new technology
and methods, enabling customers to improve their production,
logistics and quality control processes. |
