ITAP was established in Lumezzane in 1960 and is now a leading manufacturer of brass check valves, ball valves, taps, pipes and fittings for the building industry. The main production unit in Lumezzane operates 60 transfer machines and 25 automatic assembly lines, with 100% post-production testing. |

ITAP’s success is the result of continuous innovation in products and technology. In order to maximize machine efficiency and production flows and to control all production costs in real time and using accurate figures, ITAP opted in 2004 for STAIN’s INTEGRA+ package, which gathers accurate data from the machines in real time, using a product that is easy for field operators to use and SIEMENS PLC technology to guarantee spare parts availability, fully reliable electronics and future expandability of the system. |

In the wake of the results achieved, ITAP decided in 2009 to migrate the platform from INTEGRA+ to the new PRD+ module in the STAIN+ suite using Microsoft.Net. The modularity and validity of STAIN’s technology platform achieved this without any interventions on the field hardware, thanks to the flexibility of the SIEMENS PLCs installed, and using the same cabling and installations. |
