DATALOGIC AUTOMATION has always focused on seeking excellence in production.  In 2005, the company won the International Best Factory Award, a prestigious award assigned by the Bocconi University to what is considered the best manufacturing company in Italy. In 2006, Datalogic Automation received a special award for Continuous Improvement as part of the same competition.

The award was presented during a convention held on 18th December 2006 in Milan at SDA Bocconi for the following reason:

“… for improvement in production and logistics achieved by consolidating lean production practices and implementing in 2006 a REPORTING SYSTEM ALLOWING REAL-TIME MONITORING OF FACTORY PERFORMANCE.”

STAIN is rightly satisfied with DATALOGIC AUTOMATION’s achievement of this award because the company uses STAIN’s custom MES solution for collecting production data for field operators and processing cockpits and production reporting.

STAIN’s solution achieved the following advantages for DATALOGIC AUTOMATION:

• Extreme ease of use by field operators.

• Management of all exceptions in the production flow, using simple, intuitive procedures to handle normal material flows and also reworking, which affects overall productivity.

• Development of cockpits for the real-time monitoring and processing of trends concerning rejects per article and production order, operator saturation and the main indicators, such as performance, efficiency, OEE per production unit, department, article and production order.
